Fine and Performing Arts AA - General Program

The Associate of Arts (AA.FPA.GEN) program provides students with a solid foundation in the fine arts. Students take a series of courses in art as well as general education courses in Humanities, Social Sciences, Mathematics, Natural Sciences and Technology.

Program Learning Outcomes (PLOs)

  1. Develop a broad understanding of the studio, historical, theoretical, and economic dimensions of the arts.
  2. Demonstrate the ability to think critically and creatively.
  3. Apply analytical reasoning across academic disciplines.
  4. Demonstrate proficiency in oral and written communication.
  5. Develop an awareness of and sensitivity to global issues.
  6. Demonstrate information literacy and technological competency.
  7. Identify their degree of interest to pursue further study of a specific area of the fine and performing arts while exploring other academic disciplines through the general education requirements of a liberal arts education.
