VET-112 Veterinary Pharmacology [Spring Only] 3 Credit(s) 3 Lecture Hour(s) This course is a study of pharmacology and its practical applications. This course is designed to give the student a basic understanding of drugs and other substances used in the treatment of disease. Emphasis is on classification of drugs based on their effects and therapeutic usage, sources of drugs, standards and regulations, weights and measures, conversions, labeling, and pharmacy maintenance. In addition, the student studies possible toxicological effects of these drugs and other toxic plants and substances.
