MAT-285 Discrete Mathematics 4 Credit(s) 4 Lecture Hour(s) This course is a study of mathematical concepts and techniques that form the foundation for many upper level mathematics courses. Topics considered include sets and logic, proof techniques, functions and relations, algorithms, introduction to number theory, counting techniques, discrete probability, recurrence relations, trees, graphs, networks, and Boolean algebra. Mathematical reasoning and proofs with be stressed.
Prerequisite(s): MAT-280 ; Minimum grade C
