DHY-219 Periodontology II 1 Credit(s) 1 Lecture Hour(s) This course is an advanced study of the disease process and treatment modalities for periodontal disease. Emphasis is placed on the dental hygienist’s role in developing soft tissue management programs including initial therapy, maintenance and evaluation of oral health. Implants, periodontal surgery and oral rehabilitation are also integrated. Case studies, integration of clinical therapies and computer assisted learning are used.
