NUR-290 Adult Health Nursing C 4 Credit(s) 2 Lab Hour(s) 4 Lecture Hour(s) 10 Clinical Hour(s)
This course is a fourth-level course in the nursing sequence which focuses on the health care of individuals, families and groups who have self-care deficits related to mobility and neurosensory problems. Students will use the nursing process in a variety of health care settings to assist individuals, families and groups achieve optimum health. Professional Role Management content will be integrated within this course during clinical conference time. Students will examine principles and skills inherent in advanced nursing practice, case management, health care economics and leadership. Critical thinking exercises, patient care scenarios, role play and discussion will be utilized.
