HIS-103 Global Environmental History 3 Credit(s) 3 Lecture Hour(s) This course is an historical overview of the interaction between humans and the environment from prehistory to the present. Students will explore historical events from the microbial level to the planetary scale. We will examine changing relationships among humans and nonhuman nature (plants, animals, germs, climate, topography) to understand the cultural, political, economic, and environmental processes and patterns that have shaped human history and continue to do so today.
