SUR-206 Surgical Technology Practicum I

This course will introduce the student to the operating room environment. The first seven weeks are spent on campus in the lab demonstrating required skills for the entry level student.
Upon passing the lab skills portion of the program the student will proceed to a clinical site and experience patient contact. They will be assigned a preceptor who will assess and guide them through their clinical experience.
Prerequisite(s): SUR-108
Corequisite(s): SUR-106 ; SUR-208
