This course is an introductory, interdisciplinary study of the changing roles of women today. Topics of discussion include women’s roles in a a cross-cultural and historical perspective, the influence of biology, sexuality, and psychology on the roles of women, women in the workforce, women as portrayed in literature, the impact of religious beliefs on women, women’s changing family roles, and traditional and present-day feminism.
