This course provides the dental hygiene student with an introduction to the principles and practices of dental radiology. Emphasis is placed on radiographic imaging techniques, film processing procedures, identification of anatomical landmarks and radiographic interpretation. Course content includes an overview of radiation history, physics, biology, protection, quality assurance and risk management.
Prerequisite(s): DHY-101 ; DHY-108 ; DHY-109
