CHM-212 Organic and Biochemistry [Spring Only] 4 Credit(s) 3 Lab Hour(s) 3 Lecture Hour(s) This course is designed to give students an understanding of the principles of Organic Chemistry and of Biochemistry. The study of Organic Chemistry will emphasize a functional group approach. Topics studied will include hydrocarbons, alcohols, carbonyl compounds, and amines. Topics taught in Biochemistry will include carbohydrates, proteins, lipids, nucleic acids, bioenergetics, enzymes, and biosynthetic pathways.
Prerequisite(s): [CHM-140 or CHM-112 ]; MAT-011
